China News Service, June 7 reported that before the summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Biden stated that he would fight against Russia with his European allies.
But he also said that he does not seek to conflict with Russia.
According to reports, Biden will travel to Europe to attend the G7 summit and NATO summit on June 9, and will hold a summit with Putin in Geneva on the 16th.
The summit will be held under the worst circumstances in US-Russian diplomatic relations since the Cold War.

Biden stated in a signed article published in the "Washington Post" on the 5th that the President of the United States has pledged to consolidate Washington's "democratic alliance" in the face of multiple crises and increasing threats.
Biden wrote: "We are united in response to Russia’s challenge to European security. The first is its aggression in Ukraine. The determination of the United States to defend our democratic values will be unquestionable. We cannot separate it from our interests. ."

Since March, U.S.-Russian relations have tended to be tight due to multiple accusations of hacking, human rights, and interference in the general election.
Nevertheless, both leaders expressed the hope that the relationship can be improved.

Biden also emphasized in a signed article that the United States "does not seek conflict."
He mentioned that he recently extended the New START, which proved his willingness to cool tensions.
He said: "We hope to have a stable and predictable relationship that will allow the United States and Russia to cooperate on issues such as strategic stability and arms control."
