- The police currently have three surveillance cameras in Linköping.

That is very much less than the 27 cameras we were promised three years ago.

It is far too bad, says municipal councilor Niklas Borg (M).

- The pressure must come from above.

Police Region East has done the best they can and has, among other things, set up a temporary camera here in the center of Berga.

But we see that it is not enough, says municipal councilor Denisé Cassel (KD).

More cameras create security

Therefore, an assignment will now be given to the municipality's officials to produce an action plan regarding camera surveillance in public areas.

- There is a great need to get more cameras.

We see that places that are monitored with cameras become safer for people, and those who commit crimes are not as likely to do so if you get caught in a picture, says Niklas Borg (M).

- We see that we have areas here in Linköping where it is worrying so I think the chances are very good that we get through this, says Denisé Cassel (KD).
