"The decision to send firefighters to Yakutia was made by the governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako at the request of the chairman of the government of Yakutia, Andrey Tarasenko, in accordance with the Interregional plan for maneuvering forest fire units," RIA Novosti reported.
The authorities noted that an alarming situation has developed in Yakutia.
“To strengthen the grouping of forest firefighters, it was decided to transfer 120 specialists there,” the department added.
Earlier it became known that in Russia forest fire services extinguished 59 forest fires per day on an area of more than 7.1 thousand hectares.
