According to reports, the South Korean Air Force committed suicide after a female officer was sexually assaulted by a colleague. South Korean President Moon Jae-in ordered a thorough investigation.

Previously, the female soldier’s family accused the South Korean Air Force of refusing to investigate her allegations of sexual assault.

On June 6, local time, Moon Jae-in delivered a speech when attending a memorial ceremony at the Seoul National Cemetery, saying that because of the vices in the military camp culture, the tragedy and unjust deaths were caused, and he expressed his apologies to the public.

According to previous news, on May 22, a South Korean female soldier was found to have committed suicide in the dormitory two months after she reported being sexually assaulted.

The family of the female soldier said that after the female soldier exposed the sexual assault, the military tried to conceal it and asked the female soldier to swallow their anger.
