Li Xiaopeng said that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, there were no major railway accidents. The number of major road transport accidents and fatalities dropped by 75% and 69%, respectively. The number of traffic accidents above the water level dropped sharply, and civil aviation realized continuous safe flights. With a new record of 124 months, no major work safety accidents occurred in postal express delivery.

According to Li Xiaopeng, the transportation interconnection structure serving the "six corridors, six routes, multiple countries and multiple ports" has basically taken shape. China-Europe freight trains reach 21 countries, the scope of international road transport cooperation has expanded to 19 countries, and the waterway international transport routes cover more than 100 countries. Civil aviation routes reach 64 countries and regions.
