In a video, the far-right YouTuber Papacito stages the execution of a voter of rebellious France, represented by a model.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon reacted by denouncing "a morbid and violent atmosphere" and by announcing the filing of a complaint.

The rebellious presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon denouncing a "call for murder", announced Monday to file a complaint after the publication by a successful YouTuber of a video depicting a fictitious armed attack against a LFI voter. "I can not hide from you the emotion that embraces me and that of all my friends," said Jean-Luc Mélenchon in a live video intervention Monday afternoon.

Tricolor flag in the background, the rebellious leader adopted a particularly serious and emotional tone to denounce these images illustrating "a call for murder" while he has also been caught up in a controversy since Sunday after having linked terrorism and the presidential election.

"We reported these images to Youtube and I am surprised that they continue to circulate," he said, adding that he had also reported this video to the police platform Pharos which fights against hateful content online .

This "has not yet reacted", tackled Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

A mannequin targeted by guns then stabbed with knives

In the video posted on Sunday, the videographer "Papacito" declares: "there are 6% of people who vote for Jean-Luc Mélenchon's party in this country, maybe they will be helpless if something happens not expected in the next few years ".

"What can we do for these people?" Quips the YouTuber wearing a military fatigues.

"Papacito" then said to undertake to "see if the material of the guy who voted Mélenchon allows him to resist a potential terrorist attack on the territory", before firing, accompanied by a friend, with firearms, on the mannequin representing the voter LFI, then stabbed.

"So of course the purpose of this video is not to engage you in producing violence, it is purely experimental," says Papacito.

"A morbid and violent atmosphere is maintained against the rebels and against me by name"

Extracts from this sequence were widely relayed and denounced on social networks by the Insoumis, Monday noon, before a press release and then the intervention of Jean-Luc Mélenchon. The leader of the Insoumis has announced an online call for signature for a collective complaint. "A morbid and violent atmosphere is maintained against the rebels and against me by name", writes the president of the LFI deputies. "I call on the organizers of stinging campaigns - political activists and the media - to measure their responsibilities in this context", adds Jean-Luc Mélenchon, referring to the indignation among many political leaders aroused by his remarks on Sunday making a link between terrorism and elections.

The video of "Papacito" was posted after the program "Political questions" (France info / Inter /
