Earlier this spring, we told SVT Jönköping that the Green Party's regional councilor, Sibylla Jämting, would resign from her post.

Now the party has appointed her successor.

It will be Jon Hammarin-Heinpalu, who will take up the post during the autumn.

- Being a leisure politician is fantastically challenging.

One wants to make the world a better place, but to do so requires time, so it can be a little frustrating that politics has to compete with everything else.

As a regional councilor, I get the privilege to focus wholeheartedly on politics, he says in a press release.

Jon Hammarin-Heinpalu has been a member of the party for several years and has served on both the regional committee and the council.
