An investigation was opened after a child was violently attacked by a dog on Sunday in Collias (Gard),

from the gendarmerie services.

The victim, injured in the arm and leg, was taken care of by the emergency services, and transported to the Nîmes University Hospital for treatment.

Investigations are currently being carried out to try to determine the circumstances of this attack.

The owner of the animal would have, according to the gendarmerie, strangled his dog to make him let go.
