Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, who became independent from the British royal family, has given birth to a second child, the Associated Press reported on the 6th local time.

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and his wife said in a statement that Meghan gave birth to a healthy daughter weighing 3.2 kg at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

It was named 'Lilibette Diana' in honor of Prince Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and her mother, Diana.

Lily is eighth in line to the British throne.

"Lily was more than we ever imagined," said Prince Harry and his wife. "We are grateful for the love and prayers sent from all over the world."

The couple, who got married in May 2018, gave birth to their first son, Archie Harrison, in May of the following year.

In January of last year, he left the royal family and moved to the United States.
