The alarm came at 17.35 on Saturday.
The alarm concerned a drowning incident in a pool, at an address in Olofström municipality.
- We can not say much at the moment, but one person was transported to hospital by ambulance, said Emmelie Lantz, unit manager at the rescue service Västra Blekinge to SVT in the afternoon.
Late Saturday night, the police announced that it was a child who had died in the accident.
Relatives are notified.
