The two incidents come a day after Iraqi and US military leaders announced an agreement to hold a next session within two months, to discuss the mechanism for redeploying the international coalition forces outside Iraq.

The Joint Operations Command in Iraq said in a statement that the next session of talks will be held in Baghdad or Washington in the coming July or August, and will address specific mechanisms and timing to complete the redeployment of combat forces of the international coalition outside Iraq.

The statement said that the meeting comes within the framework of the technical security talks that were agreed upon between the two countries in the strategic dialogue session held on April 7.
