In the Sunday trend that the survey institute INSA collects for the newspaper Bild am Sonntag, SPD chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz is in the favor of the respondents.
When asked who the people would vote for in a direct election as Chancellor of the Federal Republic, Scholz led the survey.
19 percent of those surveyed would vote for the current finance minister and vice chancellor.
In the previous survey, it was a percentage point less.
The green candidate Annalena Baerbock lost one point and got 18 percent.
Armin Laschet remained stable with 16 percent approval.
36 percent said they did not want to vote for any of the three candidates.
Union still clearly ahead
In the poll, the Union was able to expand its lead in favor of the voters.
The CDU and CSU came to 26 percent this week, one percentage point more than in the previous week.
The Greens, on the other hand, lost one point and got 21 percent.
The SPD lands in third place with 17 percent - plus one percentage point.
There was no change this week for the AfD with twelve percent.
The FDP (twelve percent) and the Left (six percent) each lost one percentage point compared to the previous week.
