• Politics Pedro Sánchez finalizes the pardons after unblocking the dialogue with Pere Aragonès

The independence movement returns to its order taking advantage of the weakness of the Government that needs the sovereignist parties in Congress to carry out your proposals, such as the budgets. This Friday it was known that President Pedro Sánchez and the President of the Generalitat Pere Aragonès would meet this month in Moncloa and the list of claims has started from the Government. Thus, Aragonès assured that he will go to that meeting asking for "self-determination and amnesty" since it generates a "broad consensus" in the Catalan citizenry, despite the fact that the polls do not say the same.

Although he stressed that he will not oppose the pardons, the proposal that Sänchez will make to him in the short term, the Catalan president is clear that the solution is amnesty and stressed that the Government should listen to the resolutions of international organizations, such as that of the Affairs Committee Legal of the Council of Europe, which has asked for the freedom of the independentistas convicted of sedition and that the escapees not be detained if they return.

However, Aragonès believes that a "stage of negotiation" should be "opened" with the Government, despite the fact that the resolution will be long-term: "We know that we will not fix it in two days."

Next Monday Aragonès and Sánchez will meet at a ceremony in Barcelona.

Visits from the King

At the same time that this dialogue begins, Felipe VI will visit Catalonia in the next two weeks.

The Cercle d'Economy has invited the king to inaugurate its annual meeting in Barcelona on the 16th, which Sánchez will close two days later, a forum that will focus on economic and business reconstruction in the face of the serious economic and social crisis.

On June 27 and 28, Felipe VI will return for the premiere of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and will attend the Princess of Girona Foundation awards ceremony on July 1.
