The police have stated that the man had larger pupils than normal, walked a little shakily and seemed "a little lost in thought" when he was stopped, he had a lupine in his hand.
The man told the police that he had picked up so-called "toppis", top smoothing, and was now on his way back to his apartment where he had mushrooms to dry.
During interrogation, the man has told that he picked the mushrooms because they grow wild in pastures and that he therefore believes that it is allowed. He also says he eats them to experiment.
The man admits to the crime, and says that he was aware that the mushrooms are illegal to pick, possess and eat.
