His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, affirmed the UAE's firm position towards supporting brotherly Libya, and achieving the aspirations of its people towards stability, development and unity.
This came when His Highness received, yesterday, at Al Shati Palace, the President of the Presidential Council in Libya, Dr. Muhammad Younis Al Manfi, who is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness welcomed Dr. Muhammad Al-Manfi, wishing him success with his brothers in the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity in leading their country to safety, and conveyed to him the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his wishes for the brotherly Libya and its people, peace and stability .
The discussions dealt with bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields, in addition to developments in the political process in Libya, and efforts to push it forward, as well as a number of issues of common concern.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the readiness of the United Arab Emirates to provide all aspects of support and cooperation to overcome existing challenges and to continue working with regional and international parties to strengthen the pillars of peace and stability, according to what the brotherly Libyan people aspire to.
For his part, the President of the Presidential Council of Libya, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, thanked the UAE's positive stances in supporting Libya and its people, and its support for it in international forums.
He also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the good reception and generous hospitality, stressing the depth of relations between the UAE and Libya, and looking forward to further strengthening and developing these relations, during the coming period for the benefit of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
