Members of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah demanded, in its eighteenth session, as part of the Council’s work for the second ordinary session of the tenth legislative term, which was held to discuss the competencies of the Real Estate Registration Department, the importance of considering the issue of ownership of lands granted to citizens, whether residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural , in a manner that achieves benefit from it, and ensures that citizens benefit from it, pointing out the need to put forward the idea of ​​launching the real estate calculator, to give an estimated value of the lands, and all aspects of real estate transactions, with the aim of helping owners and investors know the default and estimated value of the land, when they buy or sell.

During the session, chaired by the Chairman of the Council, Ali Maihad Al-Suwaidi, they called for the importance of completing the electronic structure of the Real Estate Registration Department, to reach 100% in its various services provided, and to automate its systems.

During the session, questions and observations were raised by the members of the Council, who demanded a solution to the problem of stalled and faltering real estate projects, which affects the general view of Sharjah, and the initiation of a study aimed at classifying real estate offices as grades, to create a competitive environment between offices, automating all information, and providing a technical structure Modern and advanced, serving its aspirations for integrated electronic transformation, to reach 100% in all services, and to provide servers to save data, and strategic alternatives in the event of information loss or damage, and the question about the extent of satisfaction with the services of the department.

The members called for the importance of providing an updated guide to the work of the department, explaining the fees that the department collects on transactions, resolving disputes that may arise between owners and real estate developers, and obligating property owners to contract maintenance, with the importance of owning lands granted to citizens, which are industrial and commercial, and preventing the circulation of government housing to preserve The families, not to trade residential land in popular neighborhoods, and limiting it to residents in the popular, and he also called for the ownership of agricultural land.

The members suggested launching the real estate calculator, to give an estimated value of the lands, and all aspects of real estate transactions, with the aim of helping owners and investors know the hypothetical and estimated value of the land when they buy or sell, and offering an electronic link available to the public to update their property data.

The Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department and his assistant provided an integrated explanation of all the axes raised by the council members in their questions and suggestions, stressing that the department provides various services in accordance with the strategic plan.
