On June 5, the reporter visited the memorial hall of the former site of the Shonan Nianguan Riot Headquarters in Yizhang, Hunan.

On January 12, 1928, Zhu De and Chen Yi led the rest of the Nanchang Uprising Army with more than 2,000 men who travelled a long distance from northern Guangdong into southern Hunan, launching the "Yizhang Nianguan Riot" which has an important position and influence in the history of the Chinese Communist Party. The prelude to the Xiangnan Uprising was unveiled, and a new revolutionary upsurge was ushered in.

The former site of the Shonan Nianguan Riot Headquarters was opened to the public in January 1988. It was inscribed by General Zhang Zhen. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit, a national patriotism education demonstration base, a national red tourism classic scenic spot, a national red army primary school patriotism education base, National AAA-level tourist attraction.

According to reports, Yizhang is not only the source and first place of the Southern Hunan Uprising, but also the place where the Central Red Army’s Long March broke through the third blockade. Many older generations of proletarian revolutionaries have left their glorious footprints here, and a large number of party and people have emerged. Excellent children.
