Clas Svahn is a journalist at Dagens Nyheter but also vice chairman of the non-profit organization UFO-Sweden, which receives and investigates reports of UFOs.
That task was previously up to the Armed Forces, but over time, the authorities' interest in the phenomenon has cooled, he says.
The same tendencies were previously seen in the United States as well, but after the US military published the mentioned clips that led to the authorities' forthcoming report, something has happened.
- Now very few people laugh at this phenomenon.
Politicians have not been able to duck for this issue anymore, because the public has become so interested that they are forced to take a stand, says Svahn.
- I have never been convinced that there should be any special phenomenon behind it.
