June 05, 2021 Donald Trump has not yet dissolved his reservations for a possible new candidacy for the presidential elections of 2024, but in the meantime he launches a new suggestion: to run in the 2022 mid-term elections to be elected to the House and become its

speaker

instead of his bitter enemy, the Democrat Nancy Pelosi.   



Answering questions from ultra-conservative radio presenter Wayne Allyn Root, Trump called the proposal made by his former political strategist Steve Bannon "very interesting". "It's a really cool idea," Trump insisted. The speaker of the House in the USA is, after the tenant of the White House and the president of the Senate, the third position in the state. 



The

Manhattan Prosecutor's Office

investigating the Trump Organization has issued a subpoena for a senior manager of the former US president's family business, ordering him to testify before a grand jury. The New York Times reports it.   



Jeffrey McConney is one of the closest associates of the Trump Organization's chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, who has long been the focus of Manhattan Attorney Cyrus Vance and New York State Attorney General Letitia James. The investigations focus on suspected tax fraud carried out by the company.
