He added, "Having a good relationship with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) does not mean that Qatar is financing it, but it has spent one billion and 400 million dollars for the reconstruction of Gaza since 2012, and Israel knows how to spend."

In a related context, the Qatari minister stressed that his country is a reliable partner in achieving peace in the region, and that it has played the role of an honest mediator between the various parties to the conflict in the region, foremost of which is mediating the peace agreement between the United States and the Afghan Taliban movement.

He added that Qatar believes that there is no military solution to any conflict, but rather that the solution must be through diplomatic means.

In the Gulf, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said that "the blockade of Qatar was an unfortunate event and caused a rift in the Gulf Cooperation Council system."

He added that the Gulf Cooperation Council has suffered during the past four years, and we are working to protect this system, but he stressed that his country welcomes the opening of a new page in the Gulf region.

And on the rumors about Syria's return to the Arab League, the Qatari minister stressed that his country does not seek to restore diplomatic relations with Syria as long as there is no change on the ground.
