Laurent Ruquier, who separated last year on very bad terms from its historic producer Catherine Barma, brought their dispute to the Paris Commercial Court and the latter replied to the same body, according to information from the magazine Capital, confirmed to AFP by a source familiar with these procedures.

Catherine Barma produced for 14 years "On n'est pas couché" (ONPC), the former talk-show of Laurent Ruquier, created in 2006 and broadcast until last year on France 2, and several other shows with the host ("We tried everything", "We only want to laugh about it", etc.).

The break between the two professional partners, in 2020, was shattering: the presenter had decided to stop ONPC and called on another producer, Philippe Thuillier (who was already producing the TV version of "Big Heads") to create a program launched in September on France 2, "We are live".

Since then, the host and his ex-producer were insulting each other through the media and they ended up taking legal action.

As reported by Capital, it was Laurent Ruquier who attacked first, entering the Paris Commercial Court.

He is claiming more than 300,000 euros from Catherine Barma, a sum that he considers to be due to him as a former co-producer of ONPC.

For her part, Catherine Barma, who had unsuccessfully demanded that Laurent Ruquier share the costs generated by the end of the talk show (an event which forced her production company to lay off about thirty people), replied to the same court for "sudden termination" of their business relationship.

Which, if the court wins his case, could allow him to obtain compensation.
