After a car accident near Hofheim im Taunus that left three dead, the 18-year-old driver will have to answer in court.

The Frankfurt public prosecutor's office has brought charges of negligent homicide in three cases, a spokeswoman said on Friday.

The negotiation dates have therefore not yet been set.

The "Bild" newspaper initially reported.

In the accident in July last year, three young men were killed.

The 18-year-old driver survived seriously injured.

The four men between the ages of 17 and 18 were traveling together in a car.

According to the information, the driver had strayed from the country road with the car on a Friday evening. The car was shot into the embankment and crashed into a tree.
