US Banned from social media, Donald Trump launches his own digital platform
The Trump administration spied on the phones of New York Times journalists
Facebook announced this Friday that it is banning former US President Donald Trump (2017-2021) for two years, after its advisory council asked the company last month to review the indefinite ban against the former president.
The company announced in a statement that it is suspending Trump's accounts for two years
from January 7.
Trump's accounts on Facebook and Instagram (owned by the company) remain closed since the assault on the Capitol on January 6 by thousands of supporters of the former president, some of them armed, and which left five dead.
