In a blog post, Facebook's vice president Nick Clegg writes that Donald Trump will continue to be suspended from Facebook at least until January 7, 2023.
The company chose to shut down the president from the platform in connection with the storming of the Capitol in February this year, and Twitter also shut down Trump's account in connection with the storming.
“At the end of this period, we will consult experts as to whether the safety risks to the public have decreased.
We will evaluate external factors, including the risk of violence, restrictions on public gatherings and other risks of unrest, "writes Clegg.
