Colombian rider Egan Bernal, winner of the 2019 Tour de France and the last edition of the Italian Giro, has contracted Covid-19 and has mild symptoms, his press service in Colombia announced on Friday.
Egan Bernal, 24, "carried out a Covid test with his partner Maria Fernanda Gutierrez for his return to Colombia (...) he has just been informed that according to the results of the test, both are contaminated by the virus ", said his personal press service in a statement.
The rider is currently in Monaco.
