The first round of four partial legislative elections scheduled for Sunday

Four partial legislative elections are scheduled for Sunday in Pas-de-Calais, Oise, Paris and Indre-et-Loire, which could serve as a test before the regional and departmental elections at the end of June.

The partial legislative in the 6th district of Pas-de-Calais, postponed three times for health reasons, will be a test for the majority before the regional ones, opposing Minister Brigitte Bourguignon to five opponents, including candidates LR, RN, or even PS, his old party.

Brigitte Bourguignon was first elected in 2012 under the PS label against the UMP, before joining LREM and being reelected in 2017 with 60.84% ​​of the vote in the second round, against the candidate RN Marie -Christine Bourgeois. 

Eight candidates in the Oise

Following the sudden death of the deputy for the first constituency of Oise, Olivier Dassault, in March, another partial legislative decision with an uncertain outcome will decide at the same time - on May 30 and June 6 - his nephew Victor Habert-Dassault, designated by LR but widely accused of "parachuting", and seven rivals. 

In total, eight candidates face each other in this deprived territory, marked by the melting of public services and the anger of the "yellow vests", where Marine Le Pen had won the second round of the 2017 presidential election. Including the very established Claire Marais-Beuil (RN) and Dominique Renard (DLF), or LREM Karim Lamaaizi. 

In Paris, who to succeed George Pau-Langevin?

In Paris, in the twentieth arrondissement, voters choose the successor or successor of the socialist George Pau-Langevin who resigned in November to become the deputy of the Defender of Rights Claire Hédon. In the running in this 15th district to defend the only PS headquarters in the capital, Lamia El Aaraje, the faithful of Anne Hidalgo, faces seven other candidates including the ecologist Antoinette Guhl and Danielle Simonnet (La France insoumise, LFI) .

In the third constituency of Indre-et-Loire, which includes Loches and the south of the agglomeration of Touraine, the election is held after the resignation of UDI Sophie Auconie for health reasons. The former deputy, who had taken the post from the former socialist minister Marisol Touraine in 2017, supported Sophie Métadier, invested by the UDI and LR. LREM also provided support to the current mayor of Beaulieu-lès-Loche.
