New York, USA, another incident of assault that appears to be a hate crime occurred.

An Asian woman was the victim.

Last week the United States passed an anti-hate crime law, but that's what happened again.

A man sitting on the street gets up from his seat and walks somewhere.




After a while, he suddenly punches the old man from the opposite face with his fist.



The old man who fell down in an instant attack and there were other pedestrians around, but the assaulter walked leisurely and left the scene as if nothing had happened.



The victim is a 75-year-old Chinese woman who has lived in the town where the crime took place for 40 years.



The assaulted woman had a broken nose bone and bruised eyes, putting her in a position to undergo surgery.



The day after the crime, police arrested a Hispanic suspect and are investigating hate crimes.



President Biden signed a law against hate crimes in Asia passed through the US House of Representatives last week, but another incident of brute-force assault against Asians took place.

This year, the number of Asian hate crimes reported in New York so far is 86, nearly five times higher than at the same time last year.



Following the passage of the Asian Hate Crime Prevention Act, President Biden is expected to sign an executive order against Asian discrimination soon.
