Saudi Arabia: A circular to lift travel restrictions for those coming from 11 countries

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation has issued instructions to all airlines operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's airports regarding the update of lifting travel restrictions on travelers coming to the Kingdom.

The circular provides for permitting entry to the Kingdom for those arriving through airports and ending the suspension of travel for those coming from the following countries: (the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, the Federal Republic of Germany, Ireland, the Italian Republic, the Portuguese Republic, the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Swiss Confederation, and the Republic of France and Japan), following the announcement of the competent authorities based on what the health authorities presented regarding the stability of the epidemiological situation in a number of declared countries, and the effectiveness of controlling the pandemic in some of these countries.

The authority stressed the need to adhere to the application of institutional quarantine procedures against those coming from those countries who apply to them.

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority said that it applies all precautionary measures and preventive measures at the Kingdom's airports, with the aim of providing an integrated health environment for visitors to the travel halls in Saudi airports, and the measures taken by the authority include requiring all concerned authorities and air transport companies operating in the Kingdom's airports to comply with health safety requirements and precautionary and preventive measures .

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced earlier, today, Saturday, that it would allow entry to the Kingdom for those coming from the United Arab Emirates and 10 other countries.

An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Interior stated that it is a reference to the statement issued on February 2, regarding the temporary suspension of admission to the Kingdom for those coming from 20 countries, for non-citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families, and based on what was presented by the Public Health Authority regarding the epidemiological situation in a number of countries The declared, which has shown its stability and effectiveness in controlling the pandemic in some of these countries, it was decided to allow entry to the Kingdom for those coming from: (the United Arab Emirates, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United States of America, Ireland, the Italian Republic, the Portuguese Republic, the United Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Sweden) , The Swiss Confederation, the Republic of France, and Japan).

The source confirmed the application of institutional quarantine procedures against those coming from those countries who apply to them, noting that this will be implemented as of one o'clock in the morning on Sunday 10/18/1442 AH corresponding to 5/30/2021 AD.
