A man was arrested and taken into custody on Friday for "attempted murder" after having attacked his ex-partner with a knife in Saint-Dizier-les-Domaines (Creuse), about twenty kilometers from Guéret, said the floor this Saturday.
The victim, in her sixties and from Auvergne just like her ex-spouse, received several stab wounds in the legs and arms.
She was hospitalized and was in stable condition this Saturday, the same source said.
Late Friday morning, the gendarmes had been alerted by witnesses of the assault, which took place in a car.
They arrested the alleged aggressor, who had fled, several hours after the incident, around 5 p.m.
The man was taken into custody for an attempted assassination.
