At 16.40, SOS Alarm received an alarm that a car had run into a bus shelter at the intersection Bangatan-Svärdsliljegatan.

Several ambulances, police cars and rescue services were sent to the scene.

- The car has hit the bus stop, says Frank Granath, internal commander of the rescue service in the Mälardalen region.

According to the rescue service, three people were injured.

One is shocked, one injured and one seriously injured.

All three have been transported to hospital according to the Rescue Service.

- I can not comment on the damage situation but I can say that the incident is serious.

We are currently working to find out how this could have happened and who is in front of the vehicle, says Daniel Wikdahl who is a press spokesperson at the police.

He further says that at present there is no criminal classification but it is being investigated as a traffic accident.

The area has been cordoned off and the rescue service and the police are still working on the site.
