Brazilian international defender Thiago Silva, who started with Chelsea on Saturday in the Champions League final against Manchester City, was forced to leave on injury in the first half, apparently the victim of a muscle problem.

The former captain of Paris SG, apparently hit in a thigh, hurt himself when he fell on an aerial intervention.

After signaling to his bench that he was injured, he tried to resume play but after a few seconds he collapsed on the pitch with his head in his hands.

He gave way in the 39th minute to Dane Andreas Christensen.

It is a blow for the Brazilian, who was playing his second Champions League final in a row after the one lost with PSG last year in Lisbon against Bayern Munich (1-0).
