A Starbucks employee in the United States was fired after complaining about a 'complex drink' ordered by a customer on his social media account.

On the 3rd local time, foreign media, including the New York Post, introduced an anecdote experienced by Josh Morales, an employee of Starbucks in Los Angeles, California.

Morales posted a picture of a drink on his social media account earlier this month with the caption, "Why I want to quit my job - Today's episode".

The drinks in the photos are written in clear letters.

There are 13 requirements written down: 5 banana slices, add caramel drizzle, add whipped cream, add ice, add cinnamon dolce topping, add caramel crunch.

The post got sympathy enough to get more than 300,000 'likes' and 50,000 'retweets', but Morales was fired according to related regulations after some time for gossiping customers on social media.

As the news spread, there was even a small debate online. Many netizens who identified themselves as baristas complained that they had a similar experience and raised their voices to stop unreasonable requests to make beverages, but there were also a number of people who argued that it was the customer's right.

In response to the controversy, Starbucks said, "The expertise of baristas who manufacture beverages that customers want is the core of the customer experience," and said, "Customization is a reasonable request from customers."

This is a 'news pick'.
