There are signs that North Korea's Yongbyon nuclear facility is still in operation, but there is no evidence that the fuel rods necessary for extracting nuclear material have been moved, 38 North, a US media specializing in North Korea, reported.

The 38 North analyzed this based on commercial satellite images taken at the Yongbyon nuclear facility on the 22nd.

According to 38 North, this means activity continues at the radiochemical laboratory at the Yongbyon nuclear facility and at the thermal power plant that supports the laboratory.

Although the plant has been operational since early March, the plumes of smoke have been somewhat reduced in the most recent satellite imagery.
