“Unfortunately, words and deeds in Washington diverge again.
This refers to transparency in the military field, which the Americans call on others to strengthen, but at the same time they close their territory from observation, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The Russian side is convinced that Washington has committed "another gross political mistake" and missed the chance "on a reasonable basis to make a positive contribution to the task of strengthening the security of Europe" and the United States.
Earlier, the State Department confirmed the decision of the United States not to return to the Don.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it had received a notice from the United States.
On May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma a bill on the denunciation of the Don by Russia.
State Duma deputies supported Russia's withdrawal from the Open Skies Treaty.
