The head of the Pentagon spoke about the pace of the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan

He recalled that US President Joe Biden ordered the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan by September. 

“I can report to you that the withdrawal of [the troops] is going according to plan, in fact, with a slight advance ahead of it,” Austin quoted TASS as saying.

Earlier, the Russian president's special envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, commented on the situation in the region.
