During the meeting of the OSCE Council, Lukashevich recalled that seven joint exercises of Ukraine with NATO countries are planned for 2021.
Lukashevich noted that along with the ongoing military supplies, including lethal weapons, the holding of military exercises in a country where the internal conflict continues, does not contribute to dialogue between the parties to the conflict.
“Taking into account the fact that such exercises, according to the plan of their organizers, are intended to have an impact on the security situation in Ukraine, and also taking into account the SMM's mandate, whose task is to“ collect information and report on the security situation ”(paragraph 3), we expect that the Mission will pay close attention to the military exercises taking place on the territory of Ukraine, including with the involvement of foreign troops, and include details in the reports, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the armed forces of Ukraine conducted artillery exercises on the border with Crimea.
