Regarding the bill to promote understanding of sexual minorities called LGBT, the wording that discrimination based on the gender "gender identity" that the person recognizes as a result of discussions between the LDP and the opposition is not allowed. Negative opinions have been expressed within the Liberal Democratic Party regarding the inclusion of the above, and discussions are continuing.

Ultimately, the bill was approved on the condition that it encourages discussions in parliament, saying that it is necessary to deepen the understanding of sexual minorities.
