On Wednesday evening, the rescue service was forced to go out and moor boats in the river so that they would not be pulled loose when the levels were raised sharply.

But now during Thursday, the rescue service in Östra Götaland describes the situation as calmer.

- We extended the ropes on the boats.

But it is calmer today for us.

We have no assignment right now that we are out on, however, we help some in western Sörmland who are much worse off, says Lennart Ågren, internal commander at the rescue service.

According to the rescue service, the flow has culminated in most of the small watercourses in Östergötland.

But some may continue to rise and culminate now on Thursday.
