  Tan Kefei said that the head of the International Military Cooperation Office of the Central Military Commission attended the meeting and introduced China’s views on the current international and regional situation. He emphasized that facing unprecedented challenges, all countries need unprecedented unity, and they should stand on the right side of history and adhere to true multilateralism. It positively evaluated the important role of the ASEAN Regional Forum in maintaining regional peace and stability; expounded China’s position and propositions on the militarization of emerging technologies, and put forward China’s suggestions on the development of defense and security cooperation under epidemic conditions.

  Tan Kefei said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN dialogue relations.
