This year, too, the Privacy Protection Authority is not planning any supervision of the police's drone surveillance.

Minister of Justice Morgan Johansson (S) writes in an email to SVT that the authority has had a high workload and "difficult to staff the organization enough to keep up with its entire mission."

Want to shoot for extra money

The spring amendment budget, which is based on agreements between the government parties, the Center Party and the Liberals, contains the proposal to give the authority a temporary extra supplement of SEK 10 million this year.

The Integrity Protection Authority also hopes for a permanently higher allocation in the future.
