- Uppsala County has been calm - very little alarm compared to our other region, says Henrik Jynnesjö, management operator at Räddninsgcentral mitt.

The alarms that had come in to the rescue service early on Thursday morning connected to the rainy weather are four obstacles on the way.

Among other things on road 292 at the height of Tierp and on county road 288.

- When it becomes waterlogged in the ground then the trees can lose their grip and roll over the road, says Henrik Jynnesjö.

The rescue service: "Prepare with pump"

On the other hand, the phone was ringing hot by callers from the Stockholm area where about 150 alarms came about water that had penetrated into the basement and garage.

The rescue service advises homeowners to prepare for such incidents:

- A recommendation is that you prepare for something like this with a small pump in your home.

It is also possible to wall a little and dig extra ditches so that the water does not go into the house, says Henrik Jynnesjö at Räddningscentral mitt.
