The situation in Italy and in the world

Data on the pandemic in Italy. Today there are 3,937 new cases with 260,962 swabs and 121 deaths. Yesterday there were 3,224 cases with 252,646 swabs and 166 deaths (rate at 1.3%). There is still a decrease in hospitalizations: -45 in intensive and -439 in ordinary wards. 

The positivity index in Campania remains stable. According to data from the Crisis Unit of the Campania Region, in the last 24 hours there are 483 positive cases out of 14,070 molecular swabs examined. Deaths fell sharply, 8, of which 7 died in the last 48 hours and 1 died previously but recorded yesterday. 1301 people have been cured. In hospitals the situation in intensive care units remains unchanged with 81 places occupied while hospitalizations are decreasing: today they are 833 while yesterday they were 861.

There are 5 deaths of positive people in the Covid-19 test reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region, the total is now 11,605 deaths who tested positive for the virus. 350 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 26 after antigenic tests), equal to 1.8% of 19,550 swabs performed, of which 9,005 antigenic. Of the 350 new cases, 157 are asymptomatic (44.9%). The total of positive cases thus becomes 363,217. There are 97 people admitted to intensive care (+3 compared to yesterday). There are 771 non-intensive care patients (-37 compared to yesterday). There are 5,844 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 4,876,516 (+19,550 compared to yesterday), of which 1,618,956 were negative.

"Today out of 12,645 swabs in Lazio (+1,874) and almost 13,681 antigenic for a total of over 26,000 tests, 318 new positive cases (+10) are recorded, deaths are 18 (+2), hospitalized are 1,106 (-70 ). The healed 1,733, the intensive therapies are 177 (-8) ". Thus the regional councilor for health Alessio D'Amato. "The ratio between positives and swabs is 2.5%, but if we also consider the antigenic ones the percentage drops to 1.2% - he continues - cases in Rome city are at 159. Hospitalization and intensive care are decreasing".

With 258 new cases in Tuscany they exceed the quota of 240,000 and the cases of Coronavirus positivity since the beginning of the pandemic are 240,192. 10,906 molecular swabs and 8,357 rapid antigenic swabs performed. On the other hand, 6,056 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 4.3% were positive. Unfortunately, there are another 11 deaths that bring the total to 6,657. Hospitalizations are always decreasing and fall below 700: they are 660, 42 less than yesterday, of which 130 in intensive care, 4 less. The healed reach 223,632 (93.1% of total cases). The current positives are today 9,903, -5% compared to yesterday. Overall, 9,243 people are in isolation at home.

There are 255 cases of Coronavirus contagion recorded in Veneto in the last 24 hours, with the total of cases at 422,488 since the beginning of the pandemic. This was reported by the regional president Luca Zaia. The incidence on swabs carried out yesterday, which were 34,754, is 0.73%. There were 8 deaths, with the total at 11,540. The current positives are 9,704. In hospitals there is a sharp decline, with 773 hospitalized (-60), of which 681 in non-critical area (-57) and 92 in intensive care (-3).

2.69% of the 8797 tests processed in Puglia to ascertain coronavirus infection gave a positive result. There are 237 new cases. The currently positive are 29,675 of which 809 hospitalized: 38 less than yesterday. The deaths caused by the virus were 16. The healed rose to 213,261 units: 1,217 more than yesterday.  

In Calabria to date 786,175 subjects have been subjected to tests for a total of 855,306 swabs performed. The people who tested positive for the Coronavirus are 66,269 (+205 compared to yesterday), the negative ones 719,906. These are the daily data relating to the Covid-19 epidemic reported by the Health Protection Department.

There are 66 new positives in Abruzzo today and two deaths due to Covid, while 203 are cured. In particular, 73810 positive cases of Covid 19 have been registered in Abruzzo since the beginning of the emergency. Compared to yesterday there are 66 new cases. The death toll of patients registered 2 cases and rises to 2473. The number of positive cases also includes 65652 cured (+203 compared to yesterday). Currently positive in Abruzzo are 5685 (-139 compared to yesterday). Since the start of the Coronavirus emergency, a total of 1101489 molecular swabs (+3471 compared to yesterday) and 456610 antigen tests (+1189 compared to yesterday) have been performed. 171 patients (-5 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in non-intensive care; 16 (-1 compared to yesterday with 1 new admission) in intensive care,while the other 5,498 (-133 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation.

There are 62 new cases of contagion registered in South Tyrol in the last 24 hours. Of these 38 are from molecular test, 24 from antigen test. No deaths for the second consecutive day. On the other hand, 54 are healed.

A total of 56,511 cases of positive Covid-19 have been ascertained in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 34 new cases were detected. A total of 1,289,720 swabs were performed, of which 2,552 in the last 24 hours for a positive rate of 1.3%. There are also four new deaths (1,453 in all). On the other hand, 169 (+2) people are currently hospitalized in the medical area, while 21 (-8) patients in intensive care, where there are no new entries. There are 12,883 people in home isolation and a total of 41,985 (+138) healed.

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 22 new infections have been detected on 5,098 molecular swabs. There are also 2,206 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 8 cases were detected. Today there are no deaths, but there are 2 previous deaths; there are 10 admissions to intensive care, while those in other departments drop to 46. This was announced by the deputy governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. The total deaths amounted to 3,782. The totally healed are 92,321, the clinical healed 5,668 and the people in isolation drop to 5,007. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 106,834 people have been positive.

There are 9 new cases of coronavirus registered in Valle d'Aosta in the last 24 hours, while there are no deaths and, therefore, 472 deaths remain since the beginning of the pandemic. The bulletin of the Region reports it. The total infections amounted to 11,534, while the current positives are 242 (-16). The healed grew by 25 units, 10,820 in total, and 477 swabs analyzed, 128,042 in total.
