Sopberget in Kassmyra is only a mile from Kagghamra, which became nationally known after a fire that lasted for several months last winter.

The much larger tip Kassmyra has since 2016 been fraught with shortcomings that have not been remedied by Think Pink, which has operated the facility.

And there, all waste remains since the company was declared bankrupt and three of the representatives are suspected of a serious environmental crime.

Despite shortcomings - the municipality did not control the water

Now it turns out that the rubbish heap swells above its allowable size and blocks a total of nine wells.

And when the landowner checks one of the wells, at the request of the police, the particle filter is completely missing.

Thus, there is a risk that chemicals and oil spills go straight into the groundwater source Uttran - which in the worst case can affect the drinking water for residents in Botkyrka and Salem.

In the video, you can look down into the well at Kassmyra and hear about the tests that are now being questioned.

- We did not know that the particle filters were removed before the month of March and we obviously have to take new water samples, says Carina Molin, director of public works in Botkyrka.

According to the permit, which is required to handle construction waste, the filters in the wells must be replaced twice a year.

It shows documents that SVT has read.

But despite the fact that the municipality has seen the rubbish heap spread over the wells, the water quality has not been checked.

- I still think that there is little risk that the drinking water will be affected as the building material in the rubbish heaps is dry.

At the same time, it is the landowner who is responsible for the rubbish heaps if Think Pink cannot do the right thing now that the company has gone bankrupt, says Carina Molin.

NFC tests the pollutants in the water

The National Forensic Center, NFC, has taken water samples but does not want to share the analytical answers with SVT as there is pre-trial secrecy in connection with the criminal investigation against Think Pink.

Prosecution against the company is not expected until after the summer.

SVT has sought Think Pink's lawyer Thomas Bodström but he has not returned.
