India: The number of "Corona" cases exceeds 27 million

Today (Wednesday), the Indian Ministry of Health announced that 208,968 new cases of Coronavirus had been recorded during the past 24 hours.


Thus, the death toll from the virus exceeded 27 million cases.

"The Times of India" newspaper quoted the ministry as saying that 4,157 deaths from the virus had been recorded, bringing the death toll to more than 311,000 cases.

Today, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Coronavirus crisis is the worst facing humanity in decades.

He added, "We have not witnessed such a pandemic in a century."

He continued: “Our planet will not return to what it was after the (Corona) virus crisis.

We have a better understanding of the pandemic now.

We have the vaccine, and India is proud of its scientists. ”


“I applaud the health care workers, doctors and nurses, who risk their lives every day to serve those who need help,” he said.
