Novak Djokovic won Tuesday in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6 (7/4), against the 253rd world Mats Moraing, for his entry into the tournament in Belgrade, where the world number one perfects his preparation in view of Roland-Garros.

"I had a break twice in the second set, so maybe I could have finished the job earlier, but it's all to his credit to have fought, to have played very well , for playing very courageous, very daring tennis, ”the Serbian said of the German.

He will face Argentina's Federico Coria in the quarter-finals, the little brother of former Roland-Garros finalist Guillermo Coria.

The Grand Slam on clay kicks off Sunday in Paris, and Djokovic has chosen to prepare in his homeland this week, nine days after his loss in the final of the tournament in Rome to Rafael Nadal.

The Spaniard is the favorite to win a 14th title at Roland Garros, but the 34-year-old Serbian will try to glean a 19th Grand Slam title, to return to a record unit co-held by Nadal and Roger Federer.
