It was almost 30 years ago on the road to Palermo airport, judge Giovanni Falcone was killed by the Sicilian mafia called "Cosa Nostra".

An assassination ordered by the one who headed it then, Salvatore Riina, known as Toto Riina, drunk with anger after a final life sentence.

He was arrested eight months later, in January 1993, and jailed never to come out again.

He died four years ago.

It is her story, and through her, that of the Sicilian mafia that tells a fascinating documentary, this Tuesday evening, on Arte.
