Since the turn of the year, everyone can report misconduct such as corruption, unfairness or incorrect use of tax money in Växjö municipality to an external service.

The service, for which the municipality pays around SEK 80,000 per year, means that designated managers will not be able to track the person who reported it.

"Security for our citizens"

SVT Nyheter Småland's survey shows that Växjö is the only municipality in Kalmar and Kronoberg counties that has such a function today.

It must also live up to the requirements of the new law, which the government has proposed.

- We create security for our citizens and employees to be able to report without there being a risk of retaliation, says security manager Marcus Holmqvist.
