In detail, the consultant dermatologist, head of the Dermatology Division at the Emirates Medical Association, Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi, said that many of the beauty products that are sold over the Internet and social media are difficult to control, except through health awareness among individuals, especially since many of the mixtures and products Cosmetic is not suitable for many types of skin.

He pointed out that most of the cosmetic products sold are mixtures to lighten the skin, which are advertised on social media, stressing the need to intensify control over these practices, in the interest of public health.

In turn, a specialist in family medicine, Dr.Adel Sajwani, warned against buying unlicensed cosmetic products, and making sure of that, explaining that most of the unlicensed products contain substances of unknown source in high proportions, which may give tangible results for a short time, but the harms outweigh the benefit to a large extent. .

He said that the most prevalent of these products are creams and mixtures that lighten the skin, and resist wrinkles, which contain stimulants and toxic substances that cause damage and very serious problems to human health.

He pointed out that some sites did not stop at the end of selling materials of unknown source only, but resorted to making home mixes and offering them at low prices, and promoting them with misleading and illogical treatment claims, which causes burns and various health problems.

She emphasized that all consumer products are subject to an integrated control system, which starts from the stage of evaluation and technical study of the safety of each product intended to be imported and traded during the registration process.
