The Eskilstuna police have also received reinforcements from other police areas, both within and outside Sörmland.

For a couple of days after the fire attacks, police at the station carried automatic weapons, a relatively unusual sight in Sweden.

But it was a temporary reinforcement, according to Christer Sjöqvist, local police area manager in Eskilstuna.

- If there is an urgent need for surveillance at the station or at our employees, we can decide to carry reinforcement weapons again.

Camera surveillance and the permission to use drones last longer, for three months.
