In order to accelerate the vaccination of the new coronavirus, the government has decided on new financial support measures such as adding the vaccination cost paid by the government if the vaccination is done more than a certain number of times at the clinic.

In addition, in order to secure the bearers who have been pointed out to be in short supply, we have decided to proceed with the examination of inoculation by paramedics and clinical laboratory technicians.

Prime Minister Suga will meet with Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Tamura and Minister for Regulatory Reform Kono at the Prime Minister's residence on the morning of the 25th, and will give new medical institutions to complete the vaccination of the new coronavirus vaccine for the elderly by the end of July. We have decided on financial support and measures to secure the bearers who are pointed out to be in short supply.

Specifically, in order to raise the number of inoculations at each clinic, 2000 yen for 100 or more inoculations per week for 4 weeks or more and 3000 yen for 150 or more inoculations by the end of July, respectively. It will be added to the inoculation cost paid by the government.

In addition, in order to increase the number of medical institutions that inoculate, including clinics, if a large-scale inoculation is given 50 times or more a day, 100,000 yen per day will be delivered to the medical institution, and such inoculation will be given at the end of July. If you do it for a certain number of days or more, you will receive 7550 yen per hour for doctors and 2760 yen for nurses to medical institutions.

Furthermore, in order to secure a bearer, in addition to inoculation by doctors and nurses, we will consider whether inoculation by paramedics and clinical laboratory technicians is permitted as a special case, and also by pharmacists and follow-up observation after inoculation. We will also obtain the cooperation of radiological technicians.

Meanwhile, as part of border measures, the government will take measures to keep immigrants from six countries, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, at midnight on the 28th of this month at state-secured accommodations. I decided to extend it from 6 days to 10 days.

Minister of Regulatory Reform Kono "Consider inoculation pre-examination online or by phone"

At a press conference after the Cabinet meeting, Mr. Kono, the minister in charge of regulatory reform, said, "Online medical care has been lifted as a special case and is still possible. I think it will be easier for you to respond to vaccination pre-examinations online or by phone. I would like each local government to carefully consider it. "

Chief Cabinet Secretary "Clinical laboratory technicians and paramedics are also good players"

At a press conference after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Cabinet Secretary Kato said, "There are voices from local governments that there is a shortage of measures for inoculation of elderly people by the end of July. In addition, this time, we will create a situation where clinical laboratory engineers and paramedics will cooperate as a mover. "

There are about 200,000 clinical laboratory technicians licensed, of which

about 66,000 work at medical institutions and about 64,000 paramedics licenses. He explained that about 40,000 of them are working as firefighters.

He added, "Not all can be engaged in vaccination, but I would like to call for cooperation in consultation with related organizations as long as it does not interfere with the necessary testing system and emergency transportation system."

On the other hand, regarding the addition of inoculation costs at clinics, "There are quite a few places that are raising their hands for inoculation at clinics, but I think that there are also places where they are hesitated for various reasons. First of all, you can do it. We will increase the number of clinics and the number of inoculations. By responding to both, we would like to increase the total number of inoculations per day. "
